Load the Add User Wizard.

Start the Add User Wizard either from the Windows Start menu or from within the Management Console (by right clicking the users container and selecting 'Add User Account' from the menu).

A window similar to the welcome message opposite should be displayed, giving you a general idea what the wizard will do.

Select the user account template.

The list of templates will vary from school to school, so your list may not be the same as the one pictured opposite, choose the template that best matches the type of user account to be created.

If none of the templates on offer are suitable please refer to the User Template Editor for advice on how to edit or create a template that will be.

Enter the new user's name.

As you enter the user's first and second names into the appropriate text boxes the wizard will calculate the login name base on the rules specified itn the user template you selected in the previous step.

The 'Create' button will be disabled if the resulting login name is not unique, in which case you can manually edit the login name to suit.

Click the 'Create' button when you are ready to proceed.

Create the user account.

The wizard will quicky create the new user account and exit, unless either of the check boxes on the previous step where ticked.

If the 'Create another user' check box was ticked the wizard will not exit after creating the user account, it will return you to the user template selection screen instead
