To support this ICT provision, Gumley House needed a control system that would manage their network and multimedia equipment and enable increased autonomy at teacher level. It also had to handle the school’s legacy of hardware and software, including 250 workstations running Windows 98 and XP operating systems, organised into several classroom suites.

Head of information technology Andrew MacDonald-Brown found the solution when he learned of SchoolSuite by email prior to the BETT show. An on-site demonstration proved that the system could easily integrate into Gumley House’s existing network while providing all the flexibility and security the school required.

Andrew then spoke to a number of existing SchoolSuite customers. He was impressed by the reports they gave of the efficacy of the system and of the high levels of training and support they’d received. Gumley House decided to implement SchoolSuite throughout their ICT network during the summer break.

The installation was flawless. “I have been especially impressed by the supporting technicians,” Andrew says, “Who have been wholly committed and dedicated to ensuring the adoption process went smoothly.
