The SchoolSuite Teacher Resources module is a management console for use by teachers in the classroom.  As its name implies Teacher Resources provides access to all the ICT management tools a teacher may need in a classroom during the course of a lesson in a user friendly manner.

The concept behind Teacher Resources is very simple; Take all the ICT resources teachers need control over in a classroom - Computers, Printers and Students - and place them in a module that allows teachers to manage them within their classroom in a straightforward fashion.

With the increasing use of Interactive Whiteboards, Notebook and Tablet Computers, the concept of a classroom computer dedicated to use by the Teacher is increasingly common.

SchoolSuite Teacher Resources takes this a step further and places the tools teachers need in a single place, allowing you to get on and teach!

Printer Management

Paper jams and ink cartridge replacements during a lesson can be disruptive, particularly as students seem to print the same page multiple times whenever there is a printing delay!

With Teacher Resources teachers can manage any network printers available within their class as well as purge print queues.  There is even a facility to reduce a print queue to a single instance of each document with one click!

Password Management

Lessons can often be delayed by Students 'forgetting' their passwords, particularly when a technician is required to solve the problem. Many teachers appreciate Teacher Resources ability to immediately reset a student's password and get on with the lesson.

Session Control

Teachers can log-off, restart or shut down any or all of the computers in their classroom, often useful in gaining the classes attention at the start of a lesson.

Students using a computer in the classroom are listed and the teacher is able to open their home folder on the network for review purposes.  Additionally messages may be broadcast to individuals or groups of students.

Resource Status

Teacher Resources provides an instant summary of the IT equipment available in the classroom and its condition, as well as the facility to report any computer problems encountered during a lesson.

Reporting a computer problem will automatically notify a technician as well as provide feedback for other teachers using the classroom until the problem is resolved.

Automatic Setup

Teacher Resources will automatically determine its location and the resources that are available.  Teachers using Notebooks or Tablet PCs can optionally select their classroom from a list of locations as required.
